Control/Click to “Save Image As” to your desktop. (Name of banner image will show up in “File name” area of menu box. You can keep the same name.)
Start/All Programs/Accessories/Paint
From menu bar, File/Open and browse to find the picture of your pet you would like to use.
Using the “Marquee” tool (upper right hand corner of tool bar), select the area of your pet’s photo that you would like to use. NOTE: banners have been designed to fit a square image best.
From menu bar, Edit/Copy to copy the selection you’ve chosen.
File/Open to open the banner ad that you have saved to your desktop. NOTE: If prompted to save changes to your pet’s photo, click No.
Edit/Paste to paste your pet’s image into the banner document.
Grab one of the handlebars at the corners of the pet’s picture you have and drag to resize pet’s picture to fit on banner. Click and drag in center of image to move into pet’s picture place. Once you click outside of the image, your pet’s picture will become part of the image. NOTE: If you don’t like how you’ve positioned the image, you can Edit/Undo to remove the image and try again.
If the pet image that you pasted into the document was originally larger than the banner, you’ll see that white space has been added to the right and bottom of the banner file. Use the handle bar at the bottom right corner of the white space to click and drag upward to remove from banner image.
