just lying around the house.
Fortunately there are some things you can do
to bring some excitement into his day-to-day life.
Cats are natural hunters.
In the wild they forage for every meal,
so you can help your cat recapture some of his inner tiger
by making him work for his food.
Here are some ideas.

[Narrator] First, consider some interactive toys.
These toys are sometimes called food puzzles.
As your cat plays with the toy,
it'll randomly reward him with bits of food.
Plus, these interactive toys will stimulate your cat
with their movements.

[Narrator] Now if you feed your cat dry food,
there's no reason why he can't do a bit of hunting for it,
so rather than feeding your cat from a dish,
toss a small handful of kibble on the floor
and let your cat search for it.

to tune into his natural desire to hunt.

by hiding your cat's kibble all over the house
in different locations.
Put some up high and some down low.
