Meet Sammy boy
Sammy boys mama came to us pregnant and her owners weren’t prepared for baby Guinea pigs. Sammy was born 6/19/22 and is now weaned and ready for his new home, he is an American Crested short haired Guinea pig. He is such a sweet guy, he enjoys people and being handled, he is an active boy who loves popcorning around his cage and he loves to eat. He really loves attention, pets and cuddles in a soft blanket. He is still learning about Guinea pig life, all the sounds and smells as well as getting to know humans.
The habitat that he should be housed in should be 8 square feet so he has space to run and play. His diet consists of Oxbow Young Guinea Pig pellets (1/8cup per day ), and unlimited Alfalfa hay. Romaine lettuce, kale, green peppers, celery, cucumber, dandelion, carrot, grape tomatoes, apple, parsley/cilantro(sparingly) are his favorite vegetables. He should get 1cup of fresh veggies daily. He drinks well from a water bottle.
Guinea pigs do best in pairs and he is a perfect age to pair with an older or another young male.
Fabric is used in his cage. We don't recommend paper bedding that has baking soda in it, pine or cedar, as those are toxic to guinea pigs. Laundry soap is unscented and no dryer sheets are used.
If you are interested in adopting Sammy, respond to this posting to schedule a time to meet him.
Adoption fee: $30.00
