Hello, Please ignore the sex and age in the description because I have to choose one. We have HUNDREDS, yes HUNDREDS, of rats taken in recently from a hoarding situation.
Because of their former home conditions, they look a little bit rough with hair loss. We have done our best to estimate ages, but we have all age ranges of days to years, and we are not 100% sure on the age of some of the adults.

The rats were not separated by gender in their former home, so we also do not know if some of the females are pregnant or not. Several litters have been born, and several visibly pregnant moms are in foster. Because we cannot guarantee to our female adopters whether or not they're taking home a pregnant one, we have a contract in place; if you can let us know when you figure out your rat is pregnant, and if you can foster them until they're about 5 weeks and weaned, we would greatly appreciate it and we will take all the babies back that you do not want, to be adopted back out.

We have some rats who would do best kept alone, or would require some very slow, gentle introductions to an existing mischief- they have had to be separated from others due to fighting. Because rats are social pets however, we require that either more than one rat is adopted at a time, or if you can prove that you have one or more at home that would work as well. If you are someone who works at home or is home a lot to give many hours of companionship to a single rat that would also be acceptable.

We know this is a lot to take in. These are not specialty breeds, or specialty colors, and they're a little rough around the edges, but most of them have been pretty sweet and happy to have human interactions. Please consider giving them a home and a better future!!

We have open adoption walk-in hours 12:00-4:00 every day (weekend days included) aside from Mondays and Wednesdays.
