Meet Mikey and Kayce
Are you looking for a pair of piggies that are just happy, no matter what they are doing or where they are? Then Mikey and Kayce are the piggies you are looking for.
Mikey, the black and white piggie, is about a year old. He was born in the rescue and paired with a slightly older piggie. Unfortunately, the other piggie got sick and passed, leaving Mikey severely depressed. Literally, the next day, a group of very young piggies entered the rescue. One piggie in particular (Kayce) seemed to have a gentle nature and we introduced him to Mikey. They LOVED each other instantly. They are rarely ever apart more than a few inches. Mikey is reserved, and even though Kayce is much younger, he seems to realize that Mikey is gentle and quiet, and never tries to bully Mikey or pick squabbles with him.
Like all bonded pairs, they have to be adopted together. If you would like to meet these piggies,
or any of the other adoptable piggies at the rescue, or if you would like more information, please email wheekcare2017@gmail.com.
Guinea pigs are social animals and should always have at least one other friend of their own kind. These wonderful little creatures live an average of 5 to 7 years. We’ve even seen them live until they were 9-10 years old! Children under the age of 12 should always be supervised by an adult when holding guinea pigs. Also, a responsible adult should supervise their care and well-being. Email us at wheekcare2017@gmail.com for more information including our adoption form and our Guinea Pig Care Packet with the essential information all guinea pig owners should have.
