Jelly, Jackson & Jif Rat Rat Grand Rapids, MI

Introducing Jelly Belly (brown hooded), Jackson (black hooded), and Jif (brown hooded)! These boys are the last of a group of 15 and have been patiently waiting for their forever home! They were born around December 2021 and they are all neutered. These boys have been looking for a home the longest because they each have a special personality quirk. Jif’s quirk is he is definitely an introvert and is the shyest of the bunch. He likes taking treats gently from your hand, and while he is very sweet and kind, he would rather not be handled much. He will usually hide if he’s uncertain, but he is trying hard to be brave! Jackson is the most outgoing of the crew. He’s always trying to see what you’re doing, and he will crawl all over you during playtime! He also doesn’t mind getting picked up! His quirk is he can be a bit nibbly with fingers in the cage and will try to (sometimes roughly) give you a manicure. He has come a long way, however, and is learning that fingers are friends, not food! Jelly Belly is the quirkiest. He is very happy and bouncy during playtime and loves to be all over his people. He is an amazing rat outside of his cage. However, he does have some cage aggression issues and would rather not have people's hands in his cage - this does involve him using his mouth inappropriately. He is much better after his neuter, but he needs someone with rat experience that will continue to work with him, or someone who will understand that is who he is, and they will work around him.

These boys all have wonderful personalities if one is willing to look past their quirks. We recommend these boys go to rat-experienced homes with no small children. They thrive during playtime, so their new home must have a space where they can get time to popcorn and explore outside of their cage. They can either go together or can be separated if their new home has other rats for them to be friends with.

Single rats are $15, pairs are $30, and multiples are determined by the number of adoptions.
