Meet Ice
This handsome gerbil has had quite an adventurous life so far! He was found as a stray and then unfortunately bounced around from shelter to rescue to rescue. He was briefly adopted but returned ~ a month later due to landlord issues :(
Ice is SO CUTE and has a fun curious little personality. He is social and active but prefers not to be handled too much. Ice is very fast and sometimes way too enthusiastic about food. He flings himself across his enclosure with so much gusto that occasionally he has missed and accidentally nipped human hands instead of his full dish. We'd recommend a more hands-off home for him or very slow interactions away from his bowl. He is lots of fun to watch though!
Gerbils are super fun and entertaining pets! They appreciate large chew-proof enclosures where they can burrow through deep bedding and also explore! Gerbils have a longer lifespan than some of the other extra small critters, averaging 4-6 years.
