Personality: Energetic, Inquisitive, Nervous, Very shy (you are unable to touch this animal without it running away or being fearful, etc)

Favorite treats: Still too shy to take treats.

Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Mouse & Young Rat Food

Favorite toys and activities: Running on his wheel and burrowing in deep bedding

Potty trained: Does not use a litter box but only potties in cage

This animal’s daily routine: Flexible

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): No, this animal prefers to live alone.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Cat household, definitely afraid of the cat smell (his cage is no longer in a part of the house the cats can go in)

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? None

Health concerns: None

Behavioral concerns: Frosting is very shy! Because he’s half wild house mouse, he has all the prey animal instincts you’d see in the wild, like freezing and hiding. If you’re patient, you can sometimes see him come out, take a little bath, and run run run on his wheel in the evenings, but he still will often hide again if you move. I talk to him some too, so he gets used to my voice.

Frosting came to MNPPR after his litter was found stray in a mall.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Roseville PetSmart - 2480 Fairview Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
