Evangeline Hamster Hamster Boyertown, PA

Evangeline needed a large name because she is the largest hamster we have had in the rescue. She is a female Syrian hamster who is around 7 months old. In the past she had a litter of 9 babies, Christopher and Benedict were her 2 of her babies. She was living in a very small cage when we were contacted about the litter and still living with her female babies. When she came into the rescue she weighed 202 grams, since moving into a larger cage with a 10 " Niteangel is down to 189 grams. Evangeline is a VERY sweet hamster and while she is not super active, she is easy to pick up and very friendly. Since she is an x-large hamster, she will require at least 600 sq inches of floor space in her cage and a 10" exercise wheel.

Syrian hamsters are solitary animals and should be housed by themselves. They are also crepuscular meaning they prefer to come out during dusk and dawn and often overnight. Evangeline is being fostered in Macungie, PA.

Hamsters can make cute and fun little pets, but as any pets do, they require some special care.
