Edward is a male chinese dwarf hamster. He is super sweet but it is important to understand this delicate breed. These little guys are super sensitive and need a gentle hand when being held.
Our little hammies are timid at first but warm up so very quickly! Chinese dwarf hamsters are the largest dwarf hamster breed here at MHIY. They are not companion compatible - meaning they do not live with other hamsters!

As with all our adoptable pets, there is an approved application with veterinarian and personal references required. Once you have been approved we will contact you to schedule an appointment for you to come meet your potential newest family member along with a few others that may fit your specific families situation.
It is VERY important to us that your furry friend enjoys your company as well as you enjoy theirs!
You must be willing to come to Dutchess County, New York to personally meet with us and sign an adoption contract. Under no circumstances will we ship our pets.
