Meet Diana Ross

Our adoption process can be found on our website here: www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/process

Estimated birth date: 4/1/20

Personality: Cuddly, Curious, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Funny, Hesitant, Loyal, Nervous, Readily allows you to pick it up, and sweet.

Favorite treats: Banana, Blueberries, Vit C treats, Her daily medicine.

Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Adult Guinea Pig Food, Fruit, Veggies, Leafy Greens, Western Timothy & Orchard Mix, Meadow Hay, Western Timothy Hay.

Favorite toys and activities: Hay chews & hay toys to chew on.

Potty trained: No

This animal’s daily routine: Fresh water & hay in the morning with her morning medicine. Fresh greens are usually given early or later in the day to switch it up. Pellets and more hay/water is given around 8pm along with her night meds. We spot clean whenever possible because 4 piggies make a lot of mess!

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Diana Ross, Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson, & Betty McGlown are a bonded quartet and must be adopted together.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Cat - Curious

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Yes - timid but curious. Will come up for pets with patience and treats.

Health concerns: Diana is currently being treated for a history of extreme bumblefoot which had resulted in a deep tissue and bone infection. After intensive medical treatments including daily foot soaks, topical medications, and several oral medications Diana now only needs oral medications that provide pain relief which she will likely require for the remainder of her life. Luckily Diana takes these very willingly since they taste good! Her cage mates Mary, Florence & Betty also arrived with bumblefoot, however, their cases were much less severe and they have recovered fully.

Behavioral concerns: None.

Other Notes: Diana loves anywhere that's soft, warm, and dry. She especially loves fuzzy blankets and beds in her hides and lots of fleece or padded areas in her cage. As noted above, she arrived in poor condition to our rescue but is such a cuddly, lovable girl once you gain her trust. She will gobble up any leafy greens or veggies she's given. She's a bit on the timid/shy side at first but will warm up quickly with love, she even will climb on myself as she gets medicine. Diana enjoys her ears and head being rubbed and sometimes even a head kiss.

Diana Ross, Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson, & Betty McGlown came to MNPPR when their previous owner was no longer able to keep up with their care.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Eagan PetSmart - 1297 Promenade Pl, Eagan, MN 55121 for meet & greets, & adoptions.

Fee: Diana Ross, Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson, & Betty McGlown have a combined adoption fee of $110

We absolutely DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS! Please do not ask.
