Meet Coco and Chanel
Coco and Chanel are best friend female guinea pigs looking for a loving guardian together.
Coco is a two-year-old chocolate and caramel colored American guinea pig. Her best friend Chanel is a one-year-old, tri-color Abyssinian guinea pig.
These little girls came to Friends of Petraits Rescue when their human went back to college.
They are sweet, gentle, and shy at first, but get along beautifully.
They eat unlimited timothy, orchard, and botanical hays, share two cups of fresh salad each day, and share a 1/4 cup of guinea pig pellets. Guinea pigs need daily vitamin C which they get from fresh pellets, a 1-inch square of red pepper, or some of their dark leafy greens. They love cilantro, romaine, spring mix, red peppers, and bites of apple.
Please read up on guinea pig care and diet before adopting by visiting this excellent website http://www.guinealynx.info/
They would love a home with people who will handle them daily, keep them well-fed, nails trimmed, and keep their habitat nice and clean.
If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting Coco and Chanel, please fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up to make an appointment by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com
Their adoption fee of $50 as a pair benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue Group. For an additional $50, you can purchase their Midwest guinea pig cage and all their supplies.
They are being fostered in Chicago.
