Meet Beans and Rice
Hi, our names are Beans and Rice! Here is what would work best for us in our new home:
-Personality: Mellow, curious, shy
-Can Live With Kids: Yes, but an adult must be their primary caregiver
-Experienced Chinchilla Home: Not required, but preferred. We strongly recommend doing plenty of research if these will be your first chinchillas.
-Lifespan: 10+ years
-Can Live With Other Chinchillas: Yes, Beans and Rice are a bonded pair and it is required they be adopted together.
-Bite History: No
-Additional Information:
Beans and Rice will need a nice roomy, well ventilated cage with multiple levels that can be kept cool and dry, and the right kind of flooring to prevent foot injuries. Their diet should consist of high quality pellet food, unlimited grass hay (timothy/orchard/oat, alfalfa is NOT a grass hay) and a small amount of species appropriate treats daily. They will also need dust baths 1-2 times a week. Beans and Rice came to us as a after being abandoned with a pet sitter, so we have minimal information on their previous home.
PROOF OF APPROPRIATE ENCLOSURE IS REQUIRED FOR ADOPTION.
