Meet Lemon Drop

Meet Lemon Drop,

Lemon Drop is a young, gorgeous and curious leopard gecko who does great with handling. She has some room to grow and has been eating well for us so far. She loves having plenty of places to hide and sleep in her enclosure and even enjoys climbing on her plants.

Leopard geckos are easy to care for when you have the right supplies. Lemon drop does seem to have some minor light sensitivity that makes her squint and close her eyes during the day, but her eyes are in otherwise great condition. She requires a minimum of a 20 gallon enclosure and may enjoy more space as she grows due to her love for exploring and climbing. Leopard geckos also require proper lighting and linear UVB. Without it, they can develop metabolic bone disease which can impact their quality of life.

Leopard geckos are insectivores and can be fed a variety of mealworms, roaches and crickets a few times a week. Supplementing their food with the proper calcium is also important.
