Meet Chomper
This adorable little guy is Chomper, the African Fat-Tailed Gecko! These cousins of the leopard gecko can live over 20 years in captivity! They are crepuscular (active at dawn, dusk, and nighttime) lizards and have big eyes to help them see in dim lighting.
Chomper is about 6 years old and has beautiful coloring with golden tan, brown, black, and white shading. He looks like an adorable S’mores! He can be a bit nervous with handling and can react defensively when startled, but with continued positive reinforcement and gentle handling sessions, Chomper is beginning to become more comfortable with human interaction.
