Toffee Rabbit Bunny Rabbit Mix Cream Ridge, NJ

Toffee's momma (Stella-Luna) was turned loose by a cruel owner. He had two rabbits, and once he turned them loose, they bred, and Stella-Luna was forced to have her babies under someone's deck. The male was seen a few times, then "disappeared".

In the first few weeks of their lives, they had to TRY to avoid predators, and at least one baby was killed by a cat. That baby was killed within feet of where the babies' nest was. There was torn-up white fur everywhere. The remaining babies had to be terrified to either witness it or hear the screams of the one who was killed.

The owner of the "home with the deck", called Kind Heart, and after several attempts, we were able to catch Mommy and the remaining four babies. At that time, they were about 3 weeks old. Toffee is now about 4 months old and looking for her forever home.

How do you just turn animals loose when you don't want them anymore? How do you not care what happens to them?

Toffee is smart. She knows what happened, and when she first got here at 3 weeks old, she hung back to observe to make sure we were "okay" before trusting us. We're so happy that she's figured it out and is loving life, toys, and yummy hay!

Toffee's foster mom says she does the BEST zoomies and is just a playful little love. Once you pick her up, she just melts in your arms. Toffee is working hard on litter training - she's got the pee thing down but is still working on getting all her poop in the box. We know she'll get it down once she is spayed in May!

$175 adoption fee includes the adorable little Toffee (will be spayed and vaxxed at my vet), a playpen, a litter box, bowls, hay, and pellets.
