Meet Stitch

Stitch came to us after being rescued by Orange County Animal Services. We don't know much about this background or where he came from (a hostile, alien planet, perhaps?) but he has thus far presented as a cute little Blanc de Hotot bunny. Like his movie namesake, Stitch speaks his own language. When feeding him, he will grunt, when moving items in his pen, he will grunt, when giving him a treat, he will grunt. Even when you first pet his head, he will grunt. This is how he communicates with his humans. Most bunnies don't make noises, so it is quite charming to hear him react to everything. Although he likes to chat, he show no menacing behaviors and is a calm and well-adjusted rabbit.

Stitch can sit in a busy room with dogs and cats present and not be phased by what is going on outside of his pen - he will sit in his litter box peacefully munching hay as the world passes by around him. Being a good hay eater will help keep his teeth trimmed and his digestion healthy. If you sit on the floor with him and start to pet him, he will stay there forever, it seems. Stitch gets very excited about food, especially his BunDash pellet delivery. Do not be startled if he runs quickly to you at mealtime, it is his way of ensuring speediness of delivery! Putting his pellets in a treat ball or a snuffle mat may help to curb his enthusiasm. This voyager from unknown realms is seeking a forever home with loving human attendants.

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don't see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
