Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian. I'm trying to help a family find a forever home for this rescued rabbit. I helped them rescue it when someone abandoned it but they cannot keep it long term. It is a sweet, curious bunny that would make a good pet for a serious rabbit owner (bunnies are not easy pets for kids and should not be given as surprise gifts!). It is 2-4 lbs, sex and exact age unknown, but I am arranging to get it fixed and health checked at the vet. It has no obvious health problems. Black, short fur but a bit shaggy on its head. This bunny seems good with people, but remember, most bunnies don't like to be picked up. Should not be unsupervised with dogs or cats. Bunnies are a significant commitment (8-12 years, expensive exotic vet visits, complex diet) but they can be very rewarding pets once you learn their behavior and are prepared to provide care. They use a litterbox once they're fixed, with hay, paper, or compressed pine/wood pellet litter. They need to be indoors and have an exercise pen and be let out daily to run around. They're actually great free roam pets once fixed, if you protect your electric cords.There was not a way to indicate this: it is not fixed yet but the vet is scheduling its spay and health check, which I will pay for.
