Rosalita Rabbit Florida White & New Zealand Mix Cream Ridge, NJ

Rosalita is one of the "Amboy 22" bunnies: A woman had moved 22 rabbits into her kitchen and was in over her head. She was not able to house the bunnies appropriately or keep up with their daily care, so she called Kind Heart. With the help of our fosters and supporters, we have been able to bring all but 2 rabbits into our care already.

Rosalita is approximately 2 years old and has the perfect mix of the energy of a young bun and the maturity and poise of an adult bunny. Rosalita spent most of her life either in a small shed outside with 20+ other rabbits or in a tiny dog crate. Rosalita was one of the first bunnies that Kind Heart removed from the "Amboy 22" group as she was actually being housed in a carboard box!

Rosalita is as sweet as can be and while she enjoys exploring new areas and playing in her pen, she's also happy to be social with her foster family. She does not mind being picked up and is happy to get pets, kisses and love.

Red Eyed White bunnies or (REW's) are notoriously difficult to find homes for. Unfortunately some people find their red eyes off-putting, however they hold a special place in Kind Heart Rescue's heart. REW breeds like the California White/New Zealand mix that Rosalita are commonly bred for meat rabbits or lab rabbits. (Heartbreaking!) But since labs and meat farmers would want their "test subjects" and meat bunnies to be cooperative and easy to handle, these breeds were also bred to be extremely docile and friendly. REWs like Rosalita are some of the sweetest tempered bunnies you will ever come across. Not much phases Rosalita and while she'd be an excellent free roam bunny, she'd also be happy to retire to her pen after playtime.

Since Rosalita is a recent addition at Kind Heart, she's awaiting her spay appointment in early 2024, however you can still bring her or any of the other Amboy 22 bunnies home today and we'll work with you to schedule her spay/vax appointment asap.

$175 includes Rosalita, her spay and vaccination (at our vet), playpen, litter box, bowls, hay and pellets.
