Meet Perry
Breed: Californian
Size: Medium
DOB: Date in rescue 5-13-23 (adult)
Reason in Rescue: Caught outside
Personality: Very friendly, energetic
Friends: May be a good candidate for a friend
Hi my name is Perry. I was caught sitting on the side of the road ready to give up. It was rough living outside on my own. But since I was brought in from outside I have blossomed in to a very friendly and energetic rabbit. I do have one medical issue, I have a hard time digesting timothy hay. So I have to have science selective food and orchard grass hay to eat. The volunteers at the shelter love to take me to the fundraisers because I have such personality. I hope you can find it in your hearts to help me out and find a home. If you want to meet me or my friends you can come in Wednesday evenings from 5pm to 7pm when we have public hours. See you then
• Requirements •
Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with a large to x-large dog crate or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2'). We do not recommend plastic bottom cages or hutches.
• Adoption process •
An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.eriearearabbitsociety.org), and approved by our adoption committee. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption. If you have any other questions you can email at eriearearabbitsocietyandrescue@gmail.com or call (814)838-9732.
• Recommended Food •
- Oxbow, Sherwood, Small Pet Select or Kaytee timothy pellets, about 1/4 cup per day
- Unlimited timothy hay
- 2-3 cups of fresh, dark leafy green vegetables per day
