Meet Mr. Mortimer
Mr. Mortimer is a dutch rabbit looking for his furever home after living in a tiny cage for most of his life. We unfortunately do not have much history on him so we do not know how old he is. So far he is a great eater and is very sassy and active.
Rabbits are quite the commitment as they can live to be 8-10 years old. They require at least a 4x4ft enclosure to stay in with plenty of room for them to do all the bunny zoomies! They CANNOT go into a wire crate as it is painful for them to stay in. Rabbits require a water dish rather than a water bottle as they are unable to drink properly from a bottle which can lead to dehydration. They require a diet of 80% hay, 10% leafy vegetables, 5% pellets, and 5% fruits as a treat.
Bunnies are basically vegan cats and make great companions! We encourage potential adopters to please do research on the requirements of a pet like this before considering adoption.
