Meet Lola Starling
Lola is one of more than 30 rabbits that Kind Heart rescued from one neglect/hoarding case in Ocean County. The rabbits did not have consistent access to food or water. None were neutered so they were breeding out of control and they had chewed through drywall and mattresses to make hidey holes from each other and to have litters.
Lola is only about 5 months old and was the smallest of her litter to survive. When we pulled her out, not only was she underweight but she had bite marks and a small chunk missing from one ear. Unfortunately in the competition for limited food, Lola had likely been picked on by the other bunnies.
However that's all behind her now and you would never know that Queen Lola Starling has ever been anything but pampered and loved. Her foster mom reports that she binkys and zoomies all day long - thrilled to explore even new item that she's given. Lola LOVES a good hidey house or castle to flop on top of and she's a big fan of dried bamboo sticks to chew on.
Lola isn't too fond of being picked up but she does enjoy being pet or playing around with you while you're on her level.
