Meet Lapis

Lapis came to us as a tiny, fluffy little baby who had been dumped outside with her siblings. Fortunately, she was found quickly and taken in by kind people who brought her to us at Everybunny Counts. Since then she has grown into a slightly larger fluffy baby who loved her time with her foster family. Now, she is spayed and ready to find her forever home!

This little gem would be great with a family who gives her plenty of space to roam. Lapis loves to explore and check out her surroundings. She is a master designer who will need a rabbit-proof space with lots of chew toys as outlets for her main artform- chewing! Her favorite toys have been her stacking cups, cardboard boxes/hidey holes, and any bunny-safe wooden chew toy she could get her teeth on. Initially, she runs to her hidey box when approached, but she will climb and explore if you sit quietly with her and take the time to gain her trust. Lapis will need routine brushing for her long coat. Her forever family should have some bunny experience and be comfortable with picking her up for grooming as needed.

We think Lapis would do well bonding to another bunny. She has a bunny stuffy companion who she loves to groom and cuddle, so another bunny companion would be great!

**OF NOTE** We do not, nor have we ever, reserved rabbits. Expressing interest and/or filling out an adoption application is not a guarantee that your application will be approved, nor that you will be matched with the specific rabbit in whom you expressed interest. We do our best to match the correct bunny to the right adoptive home so that they will indeed be a forever home.

Our adoption fee is $150. This fee covers the cost of general and veterinary care and spay/neuter procedures with a rabbit-trained exotics veterinarian. We adopt to Connecticut residents, and on a case by case basis, Massachusetts and New York residents. All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

If you are interested in adopting Lapis, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.everybunnycountsct.org/adoption/. Please give our volunteer team up to 10 days to reply to your application. We may reach out by phone or email. Thank you!
