Meet Kaptain Karl
Ahoy there Matey, meet Kaptain Karl! This dashing swashbuckler was rescued by Orange County Animal Services after being marooned in the streets by some unknown scallywag. Fortunately, we were able to take him in and provide him care and TLC and shiver me timbers! after a few weeks of good grub and libations the Kaptain began to turn his ship around and has now become one of the best bunnies to sail the seven seas!
Karl is a warm, sweet and loving rabbit who never wants to miss a good meal. He is a sturdy fellow, weighing in at almost 8 pounds, and he will eat timothy hay like a horse. Don't let his hay box get low or you might be walking the plank! AARRRRR!!! He also attacks his morning pellets with great gusto, and his foster mom places these in a treat ball to slow him down a bit. Other favored vittles include his nighttime salad and bunny approved treats (NO sugar, even in carrot or fruit form, for this pirate as this is bad for his tummy). Areca palm leaf plates are his favorite chew toy. The Kaptain is fastidious and knows how to swab a deck, i.e., he is very good with his litter box and keeps his pen neat and tidy. He has been around all kinds of crew members, including dogs and cats. He is cautious at first, but under the right circumstances will even bump noses with the right kind of dog. This friendly and energetic rabbit is seeking a forever home where he can show off his swashbuckling skills and blow-me-down binkies!
We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don't see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!
Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
