Meet Jimmy
**Hello! Jimmy is currently living in a foster home! If you'd like to schedule a time to meet Jimmy, please call Wayside's Adoption Center at (816) 986-4426. Thank you!**
Well HOPPY Day to you! My name is Jimmy. Jimmy the Rabbit. You can call me Jim, Jimsters, Jimboy, or of course just Jimmy! I’m a big guy with a big heart full of love to give! Think maybe you’d like to open your heart and home to me? Well, read on!
I came to Wayside after being surrendered to Animal Control. When I got to Animal Control, I was already neutered, microchipped, and clearly well cared for. So, we believe I was living in a home environment prior to coming to Wayside. Also, I’m just too friendly not to have been with people before. Due to how big I am, I was sent to a foster rather than staying at the shelter when I came in. I settled right into my foster home without issues. My foster mom loves watching me flop over, and she says I’m so cute when I see her and hop up with excitement! I have my own room in foster, but I have seen the cats and the older dog that lives there and they haven’t bothered me at all.
My ideal home would be something similar to what I have in foster. A family willing to have me live in their home with them, either in a room or able to roam the house (After Rabbit-Proofing!). I do not do well in enclosures. I love lots of petting and attention, so also a family that is looking for a companion. Ideally I’d go home with someone that has some rabbit knowledge or has had rabbits before, but if you haven’t that’s okay too! Just be sure to tell our adoption counselors so they can tell you all about having to care for a Rabbit! I can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but if you give me time and love I’ll come around and be your very best friend.
I’m ready to find my family! The family that will love me for all of my days. I promise that in return I’ll love you with my whole heart! Call to meet me soon, okay? XOXO - Jim, Jimsters, Jimboy, or of course just Jimmy!
ADOPTION INFORMATION: All Wayside Waifs pets are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations prior to adoption. Please note that in order to make the best match possible, potential adopters must come to the Wayside Waifs in person to meet with an adoption counselor and complete the adoption process. All members of the household (including other pets, if possible) should be present to ensure the chosen pet is compatible with everyone. We do not place holds or do adoptions over the phone and we do not ship pets.
