Meet Jack (in the Box)
Some ass left a box AT THE END OF MY DRIVEWAY with three rabbits in it a couple of weeks ago! Mind you, it's not like I can look out my window and see something had been left. I live on 14 acres of raw woods and my driveway is 1/4 mile back into the woods.
(The box is on the lower right in the one pic.)
Whoever dumped them, did, in effect, dump them on the side of the road in the woods. It takes a rabbit about 3 minutes to chew through a cardboard box if they want to. It was cowardly. They didn’t come knock on my door. What if I went down there and all I found was the empty box? Cowards. Asses. If you have an animal you need to do right by them and see things through, not just leave them in a box by the road. That’s what these cruel, heartless people did.
They all had urine-stained feet and were nothing but skin and bones, The owners of these bunnies did not do right by them. Not even close.
But, on to Jack in the Box (LOL Play on words...)...he's a friendly little chap, looks to be about 4 months old. Doesn't mind being held, and is eager for attention. Good family bun that will enjoy being in the middle of things.
He surely deserves better than his prior owner gave him.
(Sidebar: the brown and white lop in the pic is in very bad shape. Vet is not sure what her long-term prognosis is. She was severely malnourished and it did damage to her liver and kidneys. We continue to try to save her and she is under my vet's care.)
$175 adoption fee includes Jack (neutered and vaxxed), a playpen, litter box, bowls, hay, and pellets.
