Meet Edward Scissorpaws
Meet Edward Scissorpaws (AKA Eddie, Eddie Spaghetti)! Sweet Eddie was one of a number of rabbits dumped out in Vernon (super cruel and illegal!) before finally being caught and brought into our rescue. Poor guy was scared and tried to fight being caught, hence his name, but he has mellowed out and started to come out of his shell in his foster home.
Eddie is a simple bun who loves his cardboard house, any type of hay treat, and any fruits or greens. He is OBSESSED with his pellets and circles his foster mom when it's time to get them. Then he will dive into them like he's never been fed before (we promise he gets unlimited hay and plenty of treats, although he may beg to differ on the definition of "plenty").
Ed also enjoys exploring as long as he's on a rug. He is still a bit skittish and loud noises make him jump, so we think a family with adults or older, quieter children would be the best fit. He's very sweet and curious, but he prefers to ask for pets on his terms. When he does want pets, he will settle in and purr contentedly. He does enjoy if you lay on the floor with him so he can explore in a come-and-go way. He has excellent litter box habits and has done fine with dogs, cats, and other bunnies. Apply to add this sweet hero to your family today!
As a note: Edward needed a tooth removed and a few others filed. He has recovered from the procedure well and has follow-up on July 17, 2024 at 2:15pm. If adopted prior to this date, his new family must commit to taking him to his dental follow-ups.
Our adoption fee is $150. We adopt to Connecticut residents, and on a case by case basis, Massachusetts and New York residents. All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
