Meet Coconut
Sweet Coconut was found outside by one of our experienced fosters who knew she needed help right away. Coconut started life in our rescue in rough shape, but you would never know it now! This adorable ball of fluff is very curious and energetic. She knows no bounds and has no fear of tile/hardwood. That being said, an adoptive home will need to thoroughly bunny-proof and protect all the spicy hay (wires) that a sweet, inquisitive bunny could get to.
We think Coconut would be the perfect addition to almost any bunny-savvy family. She likes to spend time on your lap to get love, doesn't mind being held, and she hasn't met a fruit or vegetable she doesn't like. Her litter box habits are excellent, and she will occasionally "buzz" with happiness! She has done fine with her canine and feline foster siblings (although she very quickly let the cat know who's boss). She hasn't interacted with children, but we expect she would do well with kids who are respectful and knowledgeable with bunnies. Coconut would also do well as a bonding candidate with another bun! She does have a dominant streak, so a potential bunny mate should probably be on the more chill side.
Our adoption fee is $150. This fee covers the cost of general and veterinary care and spay/neuter procedures with a rabbit-trained exotics veterinarian. We adopt to Connecticut residents, and on a case by case basis, Massachusetts and New York residents. All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
If you are interested in adopting Coconut, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.everybunnycountsct.org/adoption-form/. Please give our volunteer team up to 10 days to reply to your application. We may reach out by phone or email. Thank you!
