Meet Capybara
In the middle of October, Capybara courageously escaped from his backyard breeder and butcher.
We had quite literally never rescued a bunny with more attack wounds. Nearly every bit of flesh he had was scabbed over, bloody, or punctured due to being attacked by other feeder bunnies he was crammed with.
He’s making great progress here and we’d love your help finding him a foster to adopt home as he awaits neuter.
His foster mom says, “Capybara was caught outside and covered in wounds. It was clear he had been attacked multiple times, for extended periods of time and it was heartbreaking.
He is healing up! He’s looking much better and his eyes look brighter!
This guy loves to free roam and he is very polite about it.
A quieter home for now, because he is a little shy. He was so sore the first few days, we were afraid to pet anything besides between his ears because of his wounds. So he is just starting to enjoy full body pets! ??”
