Meet Butternut & Squash **BONDED PAIR**
Butternut and Squash are a mother/daughter bonded pair who are as sweet as pumpkin pie! This adorable pair joined our rescue family around Thanksgiving this past year and have been adjusting well to being family members ever since, but they would love to find their forever home!
These sweethearts would make wonderful additions to a family. Butternut is a lap bunny, while Squash likes to hang out nearby and loves being pet. Butternut is the more outgoing of the two, and very social, while Squash requires a little longer to warm up to new people. They love wooden toys as well as stacking cups, as well as a little bit of banana or apple as a treat. In the mornings, they will run to greet you and circle around your feet when they know food is coming their way!
The best family for these girls would be one with adults or children who are respectful of bunny boundaries. Butternut has been known to nip if she feels threatened and Squash may be scared by loud noises. However, like most Californians, they are well-trained and as sweet as can be. Apply to add two more wiggly noses to your family today!
Our adoption fee is $300 for a bonded pair. This fee covers the cost of general and veterinary care and spay/neuter procedures with a rabbit-trained exotics veterinarian. We adopt to Connecticut residents, and on a case by case basis, Massachusetts and New York residents. All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
If you are interested in adopting Butternut & Squash, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.everybunnycountsct.org/adoption-form/. Please give our volunteer team up to 10 days to reply to your application. We may reach out by phone or email. Thank you!
