Meet Balto
It’s Balto!
Earlier this year Stray Rescue of St. Louis pulled tons of dogs and 7 bunnies from the Island of St. Thomas. They were flown back to the United States and placed with their foster families. The freedom flight saved a lot of lives and was exceptional work.
Our team had the privilege of teaching all of their bunny fosters and ensured each one received the correct supplies. Bunnies were a new venture for Stray Rescue and we were so happy to help get them started on the right foot! After all, we all work better together!
All of the bunnies got adopted except for 1…Balto. Due to no fault of his own, he was consistently overlooked. We were asked to help place him, so he came into our program.
His foster mom from Stray Rescue says, “His personality is huge lol he gets crazy zoomies every night and he is super friendly. He comes up to anyone that comes into his room right away. Except kids, he’s only been around a couple but he seems to sit in the corner around them.
We have two dogs that he has met through his pen a couple times (he stuck his nose right through and booped their noses). His door stays closed but he doesn’t react at all when the dogs bark, so I think he would be good in a home with other pets. He really does not seem phased by much at all! He doesn’t get scared of loud noises.
I’ve seen him get scared once because my fiancé accidentally flipped the switch for the ceiling fan in his room and he did not like that!
I think he would do best in a home where he had his own space or if he could fully free roam. He is so curious about the rest of our house but hasn’t gotten to explore.”
He LOVES his room! It’s all his! The amount of zoomies this little bunny does are unreal.
