I have been looking for the perfect place. Somewhere not too hot, not too cold, somewhere that’s just right for me. They call me Camina and my story is a good one!
Sometimes the search for a perfect place is a lot of work! I tried different yards, but they belonged to other dogs. I tried by some trees, but the wind and rain were too much for me. I tried a nice plastic kennel and wow! It was a perfect fit! In fact, I enjoyed my warm kennel in the gym at the community spay and neuter clinic so much that I didn’t want to come out. You see, I can be a bit nervous sometimes, especially of loud noises.
The friendly MUR people decided I might enjoy sleeping in the same classroom as them instead of in the loud gym and were they ever right. I got to try so many air beds, the first one was too high off the ground, the second one was too hard, but the third bed was like magic, I knew exactly where I was going to spend the night. Plus there were treats close by and I really like those.
My foster home has been great, they’ve taught me all about where to do my business (outside!) and they gave me my very own crate. I’m learning about walks and a leash and have excelled at sit and leave it (not to brag, but I’m very smart). I have enjoyed the dogs, cats and kids that I’ve met so far, I just need a bit of time on occasion to recognize that the situation I’m in is a safe one. I’d love to take a class with my new family once I find them to help me build my confidence.
