Rose Terrier Manhattan, KS

Hi! My name is Rose. I am a Terrier mix and a little over a year old. I am shy in new situations, and so far, my foster mom has not heard me bark. I like a quiet environment with possibly another small dog to keep me company. It takes me a bit to warm up to other dogs. I am not mean, but I would rather take my time to get to know them. Once I feel comfortable, I like running outside with them and lying beside them on the floor or couch. I came from a home with too many dogs and did not receive much attention. My foster mom praises me for my manners, so I give her snuggles. A few days after I arrived at my foster home, I started wagging my tail and getting excited to see my foster mom in the morning. My foster siblings are good and play with me whenever I want. We go outside in the morning and do our thing. I taught myself how to use the doggie door. When I need to go to the bathroom, I know to go outside. I also use the poddy pads in the kitchen. If my foster mom is gone for a short time, she puts me and my foster siblings in the kitchen where the water and food are, and we can roam around in the kitchen. I like to sleep in a kennel with a soft cushion. I am learning to “shake” after my foster mom tells me, “Good dog, Rose.” I automatically sit when she says my name. I am not completely housebroken, but I am learning fast. I am dog and kid-friendly. Before I can be adopted, I need to be spayed and UTD on my vaccines. I would love to have a furever family.
