Meet Lucy
Lucy's family has moved and were unable to take her. She is a fence jumper and they are going to live near a highway and didn't want to take chances. They adopted her from Horry County Animal Care Center in 2022. She was an owner surrender to the shelter who asked that she be euthanized. The shelter was full and needed dogs out, so Lucy's most recent family went out and saved her from the kill list.
Lucy is an extremely sweet girl who is dog friendly. She previously lived with another dog and has her own boyfriend at the rescue, Duke. Some dogs she will love to play with, others she doesn't bother with but doesn't mind them around. She'll just keep to herself and run around the yard. She LOVES her ball and taking quick dips in the kiddie pool.
Lucy does require a 6 ft fence since she easily jumps a 4 ft one. She loves to go on walks and is quite the puller because she's so excited. It's clear no one has ever worked on her with a leash, but she is learning and a harness helps. Lucy is also crate trained, she is always ready to get in her crate at night and stretch out on her big bed. She's an upside down sleeper, will sprawl out on her back and fall asleep with her legs in the air.
