If Sushi (aka Big Soosh, aka Partyboy Pete) were a human, he'd wear flipflops and cargo shorts, never be seen without a red solo cup, and inexplicably be on your couch when you wake up each day. He'd whoop at your lame jokes just to protect your self esteem, be inclusive of your weird friends, and never try to steal yo girl. He's just that kind of bro.
This easygoing guy is an expert bug assassin, a lap cat, a pro couch potato, and an ever-present companion. He'll wake up just to follow you to the next room; you know, just in case something might happen without him. He'll cast self-respect aside for jerky treats and get loud with his squeaky little mouse voice when he can't follow you outside for smoke breaks. He'll greet you when you get home and often wait by the door for your return. Basically, he's everything you wish your human friends were. Want more? Check out the photo captions.
Partyboy found himself in need of a new home when his doting cat-parents became doting human-parents. A party cat that suddenly finds he's not on the list.. well, the results were predictable. With his spotlight hijacked by a furless squealing pink thing, he resigned himself to undignified "pay attention to me" antics that didn't jive with the household's new dynamic. Since his parents are friends, I suggested a trial separation to make sure neither of the other two cats were bonded to him, lest even more problems arise if he were suddenly gone. He spent three wonderful months with us before I left for the summer and the owner formally surrendered him to his original rescue. Upon return, I saw that he was still available and signed on as a foster, specifically for him.
He has lived with other cats before and currently has a foster sister, but would be happiest as a one-and-only. As an alpha, he can get a little punchy with other cats. It's been interesting to watch his foster sister (also an alpha) basically turn him into her prison wife. Being part of the gang is key to his happiness, so he goes along with her nonsense.
Breed Estimate: DSH tuxedo
De-Clawed: no
Approximate weight: 12 pounds
Approximate age: 4 years old
