Meet Buster

Mar 2, 2017 - Buster has been adopted by a man who became very attached to this friendly cat when he met hi in a pet store. He visited him every day and they soon became fast friends. The man felt very protective of Buster and was very fond of him. He now is living with his new friend and has everything a cat needs to be happy. A strong bond has formed between Buster and his owner.

Looking for love this Valentine’s Day? Meet Buster!

Buster is a lovely beige tabby, approximately two years old. Nothing is known about his first year or two of life, but in December 2016 he showed up thin, hungry and cold at a stranger's door. She posted him as a found cat and, on Christmas Eve, took him into her home temporarily. Eventually, Cat Rescue Network found a foster home that could take him on.

When the foster parent went to get him, he was very thin, had fleas and worms and his coat was a dirty and lacklustre mess. His ears were so frostbitten that the tips had fallen off and the edges were bleeding, and his tail had somehow been injured, which caused the fur on the tip to fall off. Nevertheless, he was a very friendly boy right from the start. As soon as he got into his quarantine room, he rubbed against the foster, purred, ate a full bowl of wet food and then jumped on her lap for cuddles.

Buster has been at his foster home for several weeks now and is doing much better, putting on weight and gaining strength. His ears are almost healed and the vet even thinks the fur on his tail might grow back. He’s been neutered, dewormed, vaccinated and treated for fleas and ear mites.

Buster LOVES people and is one of the snuggliest cats his foster has ever met. He is also great with her dogs. He is not so sure about other cats, though; his time on the street seems to have taught him that other cats are competition for food and are not to be trusted. The foster is working on this but it is likely that Buster will be happiest as the only cat in his family.

Buster is safe now, but he needs his very own forever home. Please consider giving this beautiful, brave boy a second chance.
