Hi, I'm Louise! My backstory sounds like a plot from a doggy soap opera: Unwed mom, traveling with pregnant daughter, gave birth 9 pups on route to TLC last year, needed to be treated for Heartworm and had to have my leg amputated because some yahoos shot my paw. Sounds pretty sad & scary, right? I'm fully recovered from all my ordeals, being treated swell by a wonderful foster family and much loved by the rescue that saved me, and as great as my current situation is, I'm still waiting for my happily ever after.

I'm a sweet & friendly 4-year-old, Shepherd mix who is fully house & crate trained, I know basic commands and am whip smart, which means I can pick up on new things pretty quickly. I enjoy long walks, lounging on the grass on a beautiful day, cuddling with my humans, and ice cubes. I'd be equally great as a hiking partner for an active person as I am for someone who really just wants a snuggle buddy. I'm fairly low maintenance and would be perfectly fine as an only pet. If you have another dog in the family, my preference is a nice, polite & calm dog. OK, so I'm no fan of cats and would prefer not to spend time with younger children who tend to be a bit too excitable for my taste but, overall, I really am a great catch.
