Meet Dave: Adopted!
Date of birth: 1/2016
11/29/2016: Dave, aka Super Dave, is a super cute Heeler/Husky pup. He’s 11 months old. Dave’s got one blue eye and one brown eye and pretty markings— he’s one of kind! He’s a very playful pup and he gets along great with other dogs. He loves playing with other fun-loving dogs and he likes swimming in the baby pool at our shelter. Dave would love to have another playful dog in his new home. His best buddy at the shelter is Warren, and they have a blast playing together. Dave is also very people friendly. He was in a foster home for a short while and he was good with the cat in the home. He currently weighs about 40 lbs and we’re guessing he’ll weigh 50-60 lbs when fully grown.
Dave had parvo when he came to us. We treated him and he’s fully recovered and healthy now. He’s also been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms. He’s ready for his new home!
MORE ON ADOPTING OUR DOGS...
Please visit our web site at HSGKC.ORG for more information about our adoption process, our adoption fees and all that's included, and for a pet adoption application.
> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!
> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.
> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
Thank you for searching for a shelter pet!
