Meet Bella
Bella is a 6-year-old female Boerboel.
She's a total lady. She takes treats so nicely, sits quietly as she waits for her dinner, and will patiently sit by the door to let you know that she'd like to go outside, please. She's happy just to hangout on a her dog bed with her stuffed toys or in her crate when she wants some quiet time. Bella's gotten along well with all of the dogs she's met so far and occasionally enjoys wrestling with her Doberman foster brother. All of her interactions with children have been very polite, even when the children were not. Bella might be able to get along with a cat, however she is not a fan of the resident cat in her current foster home, due to the rude behavior of the cat. Who plays with someone else's tail without permission?!
Bella has made good progress on learning basic obedience and leash manners as she is eager to please and very food motivated. In addition to learning, Bella enjoys belly rubs, walks around the neighborhood, rolling in the grass, and scratches behind the ears. Her dislikes include thunderstorms and squirrels. Bella is spayed, housebroken, crate trained, and fully vetted. Please consider adding this lovely, smart, silly lady to your household. We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. The adoption app is available on our website (www.bullpenrescue.org) under the 'work with us' tab. If you choose not to fill out an application before inquiring about a particular dog, please briefly tell us about yourself, family, and lifestyle since this will help us determine if the dog you’re interested in is a good match.
Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a “perfect placement” so we know that they will not be failed again.
