Hello friends, my name is Jake and I'm a Lab/pit mix. I'm 3 years old and weigh in at 82 pounds. I was an owner surrender, when my dad was moving out of state and couldn't take me with him. The folks at the Animal Refuge Center noticed I was limping and took me to the vet. While at the vet, I was told I had a badly torn ACL. ARC held a fundraiser and raised over $4500 to help me get the surgery I needed.

That was several months ago and I'm fully healed up, but I take a specific med that cost about $25 per month. I hope that doesn't seem like too much, but worry that maybe it does. It's been almost a whole year since I had a home of my own and I miss having a family.

Let's see what else can I tell you about myself. I really love cats and I've been called a people pleaser, probably because of the way I can charm the staff. I've also heard some say that I need "Doggie Kindergarten", because I forget how big I am and get too excited.

The last thing I wanna mention is even though I had my surgery I am in great shape and I haven't slowed down. I look forward to my daily walks/runs and I enjoy playing with the other dogs at the shelter. I know I've been featured in the past a lot, but please share and ask everyone you know to do the same. There is a family out there that needs me and I need them too!
