Beefstick AKA Beefy Shepherd Mix Fairmont, WV

Beefy is waiting for his forever home. He is a big guy and is extremely handsome. He gets along well with other dogs and ideally would love to be in a family with another dog-he needs a playmate! In his picture above he is playing with his friend Smidget.

Meet Beefy. He is available for adoption. Beefy is basically a giant puppy! He is tons of fun and has a lot of playful energy. He is doing well in his foster home and loves to romp and play with other dogs. He hasn’t met a dog he dislikes and is very tolerant of rambunctious play. Plastic squeaky toys are great, and so are fluffy blankies. He is learning that fetch is a pretty fun game and likes Frisbees, too! Beefy enjoys a nice belly scratching and to give kisses.

Since he has puppy tendencies, he would do best with someone who is used to teaching and enforcing basic manners (he gets a little over excited when playing and kissing). Beefy knows basic commands of sit, shake, high-5, and down. He likes his crate and is crate-trained. Beefy’s foster mother is working on complete house-training. A nice afternoon in the sun, at the dog park, or lounging around are all great in Beefy’s mind, but it would be even better if a dog playmate and human were involved, too. He seems to be okay with lazy cats, but would likely chase an active cat.
