Meet Smokey

Hello, my name is Smokey. I ran into some hard times recently. I was out alone one evening and I was hit by a car! A Good Samaritan found me injured on the side of the road. I don’t know how long I had been there, but things looked really bad. He was kind enough to bring me to the shelter. As soon as I arrived they started to work on me. When I was stable enough, they sent me to the vet. One of my front legs had to be amputated. That was scary, but I have learned to walk on three legs! While I have been here I have gotten all of my vaccinations, I was tested for heartworms, I got a microchip, and I was neutered. Now if only someone will adopt a three legged dog. I am really sweet and I love to cuddle. In fact I wouldn’t mind sitting in your lap all day if you would like that! Do you know someone that would like a companion like that? If so, please send them my picture and tell them where I am waiting to be adopted.
