Pixie Chihuahua Blacksburg, VA

Pixie is an adorable, 6 lb. chihuahua who came AWFP with her sister, Chi Chi.

Pixie is a very affectionate and smart Chihuahua. She is nervous when faced with new things, which may manifest as aggression, but once she gets a chance to sniff around she gets comfortable quickly. She is currently getting out more so that she can become more trusting of people and other dogs. She will need help to get socialized.

Unlike most dogs, she is content laying in her crate/an available lap but also enjoys a good walk – she loves to sniff things out! She will do anything for a treat, is good on the leash and is very obedient to commands. She may not have not had boundaries in her last home but she took very well and quickly to those I set about the furniture and off-limit rooms. She also does well in the car, and once encouraged she got the confidence to jump in and out on her own even though she was nervous at first.

Pixie is incredibly smart and loyal, once you give her time to trust you. Other than her nervousness, she is the perfect dog (she does not beg, steal, chew, bark, jump, lick etc.) with potential to learn anything.
