Jake is a stunning, sweet, smart, 5 yr. old, neutered,Staffordshire Terrier/ Lab mix. At a year old, Jake was brought to the Linden Animal Control facility and the Friends of Linden Animal Shelter stepped up to save him. He is the longest resident at the rescue and the volunteers adore him and have no idea why he is not adopted. Jake has a special spark, a winning smile, and the sweetest disposition. This boy LOVES to play ball, loves to go for walks, loves to snuggle and go for car rides, too. He is housebroken, walks well on a leash, knows some basic commands, and promises to be a most loyal and loving companion. Although Jake prefers not to live with other pets, he can walk by other dogs and not bother them. He keeps his kennel spotlessly clean, sits like a statue for treats, plays fetch like a master athlete, and desperately wants to find his person or family. Jake has watched so many of the other dogs come and go and yet... each night, he has to go alone, back into his kennel. Jake is best in a home with older children or adults.
