Friends Fur Life Rescue
Our Mission
We are a no-kill, foster-based non-profit 501(c)3 rescue. We are always in need of more fosters because the more we have, the more homeless pets we can save. Our hope for the future is to have a physical location and we are fundraising to make that a possibility! We receive no governmental monies. We rely on the generous donations of pet lovers to care for our animals!
We like to think that our rescue is 3-fold:
1) Education: We want to educate, especially children, on the importance of caring for animals and stopping the cycle of animal abuse. We also want to teach others who may not know, the proper care for animals including the need for spaying or neutering and vaccination of their pets.
2) Prevention: We want to help people keep their pets in their loving homes instead of ending up in a rescue or shelter. We do this with "Bella's Bounty" where we temporarily provide food and vet assi
Adoption Policy
Adoptions fees typically only cover about 1/3-1/2 of the cost to fully vet and provide care for each animal in our care.
The fee to adopt a dog or puppy is $200 which covers spay/neutering, vaccines, heartworm and Lyme disease testing, and a microchip.
The fee to adopt a cat or kitten is $65 which includes spay/neuter, vaccines and testing for feline leukemia and FIV.
All pets will be tested and receive vaccines as age appropriate. If the animal is too young at the time of adoption to receive certain tests or vaccines, it is the adopter's responsibility to keep them up to date with their personal vet, at their own cost.
We require 2 personal references, a vet reference and a home visit.
