The Charlie Project Dog Rescue Corp
Our Mission
The mission of The Charlie Project Dog Rescue a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, is to rescue dogs and puppies from a variety of backgrounds with love, shelter, food, human companionship, and medical care. We are foster based
We feel that spay and neuter is the answer to overcrowding in shelters. That coupled with finding the proper forever home with a very responsible family that takes pet ownership seriously. Then somewhere over the rainbow there will never be a need for shelters and unnecessary euthanasia due to unwanted litters and dogs bought without considering the lifetime of the animal.
Educating and informing the public about the commercial dog industry in America and about responsible pet ownership is also very important to us.
We do transport our dogs from all different locations where the problems with homelessness are the worst and hope that no dog will ever fear that they are unwanted or just used for profit and tossed away.
Therefore we will do our best to insure every animal in our care will be placed with the right family to achieve the goal of keeping dogs in homes.
Adoption Policy
We require everyone interested in one of our furry friends to fill out an online application before meeting an animal
We require a spay/ neuter contract on every dog that is too young at the time of adoption to be altered by 6 months. We conduct an interview with your references and after we complete the application we will have our final interview with the potential adopters.
Our adoption fees vary as some dogs who need medical care are adopted out for smaller fees and others help cover the costs of medical and transport, when fundraising is insufficient. We microchip every animal to insure that the dog will always find it's way home and if the dog is in a situation where it will end up homeless we require that the adopter contacts us
