Adoption Policy
Download and complete an adoption application. Completed applications can be emailed, faxed, or mailed to us. Once an application is received, it is forwarded to the case manager and foster family.
A home visit and meet-and-greet with the animal and potential family will be arranged according to mutual schedules. All members of the family, including other animals, participate.
If it is mutually decided to move forward, we offer a pre-adopt period for 7 days so that everyone can interact in the home environment. A legal and binding release is signed by the potential adopter accepting full responsibility for the animal(s) while in their care during this time period.
The adoption fee for cats is $100 and $300 for dogs. The adoption fee for paired cats is $170.00 and for paired dogs is $500.00. 100% of all adoption fees go towards the medical care costs of Kindred Souls Foundation animals.
All animals adopted out will have had a Well Pet Exam, be current on vaccines according to age, treated for fleas, de-wormed, be spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Kittens up to 6months are tested for FIV and cats over 6 months are combo (FIV / FeLV) tested at the time of intake.
