Misspits Rescue
Our Mission
Misspits Rescue is a foster based rescue aimed at changing the lives of at risk dogs. We formed as a pit bull rescue, showcasing these wonderful breeds that are often overlooked, neglected and abused. As we grew, we purchased a farm. We now help many any risk breeds and mixes. With the space and diversity, we are a good fit for many herding breeds. Dogs are able to come here and decompress, enjoy life and become a dog again. When and if they are ready, they can move on to their new homes. Some, due to medical or behavioral reasons, remain with us for life. All dogs live at the farm or in another foster home. We practice positive based training advocate for homes that allow dogs to be dogs!
We are also home to a wide variety of other animals from fish, turtles and snakes to chickens, cows and horses. Most of our dogs are exposed to them all in a positive manner.
Adoption Policy
Misspits Rescue takes in dogs from various sources including local shelters and owner surrenders. All dogs are current on shots, spayed/neutered, microchipped and treated for parasites prior to adoption. Dogs live in a foster home first so we are able to provide some insight into their behavior, training, likes and dislikes etc so that we can try to make the best match. Our mission is to place them in a forever home so there is a thorough adoption process including a home visit. We are a non-profit rescue and all adoption fees go back to supporting and helping more dogs. Please contact us if you are interested in one of our dogs. Thank you for considering a rescue!
