ODHS adoption events are typically at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Wednesdays 5-7pm, Fridays 6-8pm, Saturdays 12-4pm. Please check our Facebook page for changes in location or time!

Adoption Policy

Please keep in mind that we are a volunteer run organization.Â
Adult dogs adoption fee -- Â $275.00
Senior dog adoption fee-- $175.00
Puppies under 1 year adoption fee -- Â $375.00
Puppies will not go home until they are at least 10 weeks old and have been spay/neutered.
Dogs will be adopted Spayed/Neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper series, Heartworm tested (if six months or older) and Microchipped. Â
All puppies are required to be enrolled into training within 90 days of adoption with your choice of a certified trainer.
ODHS adopts within a 350 mile radius of Fredericksburg, VA.
