Adoption Policy
BRBCR's adoption process requires that each of the following steps are successfully completed before meeting one of our foster dogs. The approval process typically takes 1 - 2 weeks.
1. Contact the foster parent of the dog that you are interested in to request an adoption application.
2. Fill out an adoption application on our website OR email a completed adoption application to brbcrdogs@gmail.com.
3. A BRBCR volunteer will conduct a phone interview with the applicant and the applicant's veterinarian and personal references.
4. A BRBCR volunteer will conduct a home visit with the applicant.
Upon approval, the foster parent will set up a Meet and Greet for the applicant. If the Meet and Greet is successful, then the applicant will be able to take the BRBCR dog home for a 2-week trial period. If the trial period is successful, the adoption becomes official.
